Despite receiving three 10s on Saturday, Alesha says she already feels like she’s won having met dance partner Matt and is devastated the competition’s drawing to a close.
‘Strictly for me is like being on holiday,’ she said. ‘I love it – it’s when I go home that it’s really crap. Being blatantly honest there are other things in my life that are stressful, there’s nothing in this competition that is stressing me. I love every part of it. I wake up and look forward to training. I love Matt, I have a passion for dance, raising money, learning dances, having fun. I feel very grateful, in terms of the competition.’
‘This week I’m gonna work harder than any other week. There are only four weeks until the end. Not long before I’m not dancing with Mattå that makes me feel sad. I can’t imagine it stopping. That’s poo. That’s depressing. That’s what I’m not happy about, not being with Matt!’
‘I love dancing with him – he’s the best, he’s the best pro of the lot. He’s patient, sweet, he’s amazing, putting up with me he deserves to win just for that.’
And with only four weeks to go Alesha’s keen to put the hours in and make the next two dances her best yet.
‘This show is like juggling balls, you got to twist things, make it work, if we need more time we will work in the evenings, thank god Matt is up for that as well! If you need more time he will put it in, reassuring, he won” get many evenings in this week!’
