Well well well. The BBC have been forced to admit that the Sunday results show is not live after Kenny Logan was shown commentating live in Paris on the Rugby World Cup Quarter Final between Scotland and Argentina, just ten minutes after his tense Waltz off on BBC1!
Now the BBC are saying that they never said the Sunday results show was live, and perhaps in retrospect us viewers shouldn’t have been so naive. However, on the Sunday show such things were said by the presenters, Tess and Bruce, as “We’re here on a Sunday” and “Last night’s performances”. Now correct me if I’m wrong, but this does kind of give the impression that the show is in fact being done on the following Sunday?
Now we may ask why does it matter that the show isn’t live? Well I’ll give you my two cents…If the decision to have an extra Sunday results show was just to have a ratings war between ITV’s The X Factor then I think it does matter. The BBC have said on the decision to have a results show on Sunday that: “The change was made to meet a strong appetite for good, entertaining family viewing on Sunday evenings”.
What a load of rubbish, we’re not stupid BBC.
