RESULTS: Week 9 Strictly Come Dancing – Shocker!

 Week 9 results

The results are in and it’s a shocker! Cherie and James have been voted off Strictly Come Dancing. Lisa and Brendan were also in the bottom two but Craig, Arlene and Len all voted to save them. Only Bruno voted to keep Cherie in.

This will send more shockwaves through the Strictly camp as John and Kristina live to fight another week and avioded the bottom two even though they were a tthe bottom of the judges leaderboard.

Has it gone too far? Should John & Kristina have gone weeks ago? It’s not really John’s fault so we can’t blame him at all!

James’ comments were out of order. Surely the programme is about taking absolute novices and watching their progress. John is trying as hard as all the others but is not young, svelte or elegant. But he is trying and for him has made tremendous progress. It is reported that after the show none of the others would mix with John – get over it, and stop telling the public how to vote or pay our licence fee

I THINK ITS ABOUT TIME JOHN SARGENT WAS VOTED OFF STRICTLEY COME DANCING HE IS WORKING THE PUBLIC FOR SYMPTHAY VOTES HE IS MAKING A MOCKERY OF THE PROGRAM THER ARE SOME FANTASTIC DANCERS THEY SHOULD BE GIVEN A CHANCE HE SHOULD BOW OUT GRACEFULLY!

  • fred

so, two more good to watch dancers are eliminated from “strictly”,once again because Joe Public have seen fit to spoil what is believably one of TV,s best shows. I think it is a travisty that people would apparently prefer to see degraded form of dance and to make a mockery of this fab show. good luck to John Sergeant and i hope he feels really proud that he is causing good dancers to be voted off by a great number of people who seem hell bent on spoiling a very popular show. Not his fault you may say, then then why does he encourage people to keep him in, when even he is not so naive as to know he is not cut out for dancing and is just becoming a a laughing stock, albeit a humilliating one. Hopefully common sense will prevail and he will go next week one way or another! Sorry John, you are a lovely person but for the sake of the show and all your fellow competitors, do the decent thing and GO !!!! – Submitted by “Cast Iron Fred” of Hanwell.

This programme is going to lose its credibilty- the rules must be changed. It will definitely lose its audience.!! It is becoming a joke.

    A U-Turn! Support People Power

Last week I wrote in favour of getting John OFF, urging all true Strictly fans to stop the show becoming a laughing stock. Sorry to say, after listening to and reading all the comments last week and watching the weekend shows I have decided that what the people want must happen. We live in a democracy, after all. For too long television has used and abused the public in reality TV shows – from the sad individuals in Big Brother to the burger-munching fatties in Rotherham in Jamie Oliver’s show. The BBC also think they can manipulate Strictly viewers by placing a couple of no-hopers in for a laugh and banking on the public voting them out after a couple of weeks. Well, ha ha BBC, the British public have proved that they will not be manipulated. They are fighting back…and I’m joining the fight.

    JOHN SERGEANT FOR PRIME MINISTER!!!

Please lets put a stop to this ridiculous situation – our blood pressures cannot cope any longer!. Perhaps in future the couple at the bottom (in the judges eyes- who lets face it are the experts) should automatically be in the dance off. The public can then vote for everyone else and the couple with the least votes would then be in the dance off also.

We know they cannot all be winners but John should go ( and should have gone weeks ago).

If John stays Stricly come Dancing and the BBc will lose their credibility what it is not the first time it has happened in the BBc world. It is all about Dancing and he is awful. I believe that throughout the competition the program makes a lot of money and when it reaches that stage in which the good ones are there it is time the Judges vote only. i do not want to wast money phoning and voting and because of people who are sympathetic towards John and do not understand anything about dancing keep him in.

If he wins I will stop watching it and stop spending my money on the calls.

    John out!

  • Jimmski

Its too late to change the rules on this series – that would be unfair on John Sargeant. Better to try and appeal to all the idiots who have voted to keep him in not to keep voting for him.

It will become an embarrassment to the BBC AND John Sargeant. I notice that at the end of Cherie’s last dance all the other celebs APART from John Sargeant & his partner came out to offer their condolences to Cherie & James. Surely a sign that even he now feels his position is untenable.

He shouldn’t be forced out or called upon to withdraw. Nature should take its course and the people voting should drop their silly campaign to keep him in. Then he can leave without losing face.

  • Linda

I think everyone needs to get over themselves. It an entertainment show, nothing more, nothing less. If people want to vote for John, so be it. John was not my favourite but now he is. I will be voting for him and I hope he wins.

  • swilliams

I agree the programme is about dancing, getting the public involved and seeing the novice dancers improve week by week with the help of their professional dancer, everyone has improved but John, although I like him, he is so laid back and has that couldn’t care less attitude, he has not improved since week 1. He is now an embarrassment and people are laughing at him. It will be a disaster if he wins – there are so many good dancers in front of him and so deserving to win. Kristina is lovely and I can see they have a good relationship but not as dancers or potential winners of the championship.

  • TC

Stop getting so heated up over this. The public has no say in the so called voting. The results are concocted by the BBC in order to keep revenue coming in from the fools who vote.

Q: Why have we never seen the numbers of votes cast every week?
A: Because John would have gone ages ago.

Q: Why do the presenters keep talking about contestants being voted off when nobody has been asked to vote anyone off?
A: You are asked to vote for who you want to keep, not who you want to go.

Until the hierarchy at the Beeb is replaced, we shall have to put up with the Ross/Brand brigade who couldn’t give a tinkers cuss about the public.

  • Dave B

John is now being abused and bullied by the judges.

Most of the other contestant have been dancing all their lives and have obviously received lots of tuition in their earlier lives and certainly prior to the beginning of the series.

Critics of John claim it is a dance competition only. If that is the case John has as much to complain about as the judges because the show should surely be based upon overall improvement of each contestant and not the one who can move their feet the fastest

  • Chris

The public must stop voting for John. He is becoming a laughing stock and James Jordan was perfectly correct in his comments. We noticed John and Kristina were the only dancers who did not come out to offer their condolences to Cherie and James. How many more really good dancers have to go? We feel we will no longer want to watch if this farce goes on much longer.

  • ROLLOVER

Always remember that the so-called judges are there only to vote on the dancers we the British public vote to save,it is wrong for them to try and tell us who THEY want to go thru, the judges should leave us alone, othewise they are making a mockary of themselves and the show, remember its only an entertainment program not a proper competitive
    competition

Message from a dutch Strictly-fan,in a bottle on the net
Do the Brits dance with their head or with their feet? I’m leaving the brains out on purpose. I’m curious to know! May be an idea for a new show? i’m SO glad they won’t have to choose a president. I’m sure they would vote for the wrong person for all the wrong reasons. And by the way: the selecting section of Strictly should know better than to select someone with 2 left feet and a good mind. And the Mind should be using his brains when accepting a place on a show that requires feet. YOU CAN’T BE SERIOUS!!!

  • Ola

Why was John invited to join the show in the first place – not because of his physique! The produces hoped to have a good laugh but look who is laughing now!
