They are all through to the final!

 semi final results

Breaking News…All three couples are going through to the Strictly Come Dancing Final 2008!

All votes will be carried forward to next week.

At the start of the results show on Sautrday night Tess Daly said: “There was a tie at the top of the leader board meaning that one couple would always have gone into the dance-off. Therefore we are freezing the votes. Please do not call as the lines are now closed.”

Bruce Forsyth added: “It’s the worst possible week for this to happen and it’s our thirteenth show.”

semi final

I’m actually in shock I almost choked! I don’t quite understand what happened but a 3 couple final will be great and it was lovely to see all the reactions of the couples.

Phew!

what an absolute farce. the judges had adready decided on the outcome of tonights show by staging the voting. a total sham. after the way the public voted to keep John in the show week after week, it was obvious the judges would use their voting power to have their own way. why have a show which involves the public opinion if the judges can conspire to determine the outcome.

  • Jean Enderson

I believe the all the judges had their favourite, which meant no one else had a chance. The viewers are now seeing right through them hence John Sargeant.

Of course they had to put off the final or the show would have finished a week earlier than schedule after John pulled out. I wondered just how they were going to do it.

The arithmetic is simple. In the semi-final, whoever receives 1 point after the judges vote round cannot avoid a dance-off since no matter what the other 2 contestants score from judges and public, that person will be one of the lowest 2 scores. In the semi-final, the person who receives a 1 at the end of the judges score will ultimately have their fate determined by the judges regardless of the public vote. It was the same last year. The mistake is that the BBC stated that you could vote to save Tom from the dance off which is incorrect.

whats all the fuss about its great viewing and it means we get to see the lovely tom and camilla dance again

  • Maureen R

From the reaction of the other two couples they seemed just as pleased that tom and camilla were through to the final so alls well that ends well
