Week 5 Round Up; Yippe Kayeee MF (Yes I watched Die Hard last night and I’m not sorry Gruber). Eat pancake syrup chumps.

 Tom and Camilla

Well week 5 mingles night has been and gone and I think it was the best night of the season (too American?) so far.

Craig had a bit of a paddy; but apart from that it was Fab U Lous.

Lisa and Brendan

Lisa and Brendan and Tom and Camilla were at the top of the leader board dancing the gorgeous American Smooth. Lisa really seemed to relax and enjoy the dance and delivered a fantastic performance; that should keep Brendan happy – for the moment at least.

For me, Tom and Camillla deserved a 10!!!! They were fab and Tom looked and danced amazing; have a great wedding Tom!

The dance of the night, in my eyes, was lovely Jodie and Ian. What an improvement! She danced like a star and I thought she was really under-marked with 7s from Craig and Arlene.

Jodie and Ian

Christine and Matt you’re my 2nd faves (my faves being Tom and Camilla). I loved their Samba and she comes across so sweet I want her to do well.

Rachel and Vincent

Rachel and Vincent were first out on the floor with a sizzling Samba and got high prasie.

I LITerally couldn’t stop laughing throughout Mark and Hayley’s Samba, although I’m pretty sure I’m in love with Mark.

Mark and Hayleu

Poor John Sergeant dancing the Samba; oh dear. I think he should go really I do.

John and Kristina

I think Don’s nerves about the lifts got the better of him during his American Smooth and I hope he dances next week.

Austin and Erin

Austin and Erin delivered agin with an energetic and accomplished Samba; smug ba*tards.

Cherie and James didn’t really disappoint with their American Smooth; but something was lacking…

Oh Andrew Castle; I do love you and I hope you’re not in the dance off. I loved your finger clicking and want to see more of you!!!

Andrew and Ola

Heather and Brian; I’m sorry I didn’t like it. It lacks some pazazzzzz as Bruno would say.

Whoever is voted off this week; the studio ranked points are flawed and give unfair advantage to some couples. I have raised this in the past with the BBC with no response……touched a raw nerve perhaps?

My point is, why should Christine, Jodie and Rachel get 6 points when Austin gets 9. He was, after all, only one place above the others.

I believe the points should start at the bottom with a ’1′ and progress upwards awarding an extra point at each scoring step.

This way the points would be: John 1, Mark and Andrew 2, Heather 3, Don 4, Rachel, Jodie and Christine 5, Austin 6, Cherie 7, Tom and Lisa 8.

The present scoring method CAN introduce biases when the phone votes are added…..

    Anyone get my point?

    Me again……..
There are so many holes in this scoring system. What if 2 or more couples had the same aggregate score and were at or next to bottom….how does the BEEB in all it’s wisdom decide which of 3 or more couples should dance off????

And why does this arrogant BBC insist on not disclosing the actual phone votes when we pay premium rates to register them.

Could there be shenanigans going on? Perish the thought!

Has anyone heard how Brendon Cole is after his fall on the underground?
