EASTENDERS babe Kara Tointon is set to star in Strictly Come Dancing for a SECOND time, TV Biz can reveal.
The brunette, 25, is a massive fan of the BBC1 ballroom hit but had been banned from taking part for the past three years.
Soap boss Diedrick Santer stopped cast members signing up for the show as it caused chaos in the filming schedules, although Kara did a charity special last year and won.
Now she is free to shimmy and shake her way on to the next series after being given the push from the BBC1 soap, alongside her on-screen love Ricky Groves, who plays Garry Hobbs.
The decision to drop Kara — who plays Dawn Swann — from August means she can finally fulfil her dream.
A Strictly insider confirmed yesterday the show was in talks to sign her up for the new series in September.
The source added: “Kara has made it no secret that she has wanted to do Strictly for years. Hopefully we can make it happen.
“She’s exactly the kind of contestant that we want on the show.”
TV Biz told yesterday how Strictly chiefs want to “sex up” the show to score a younger audience and compete with The X Factor.
They will hire younger professional dancers as well as hotter celebs.
Kara — who is dating ex-EastEnder and I’m A Celeb winner Joe Swash — won last year’s Strictly special for Sports Relief with a sizzling samba.
Her partner was ex-England cricketer Mark Ramprakash.
