RONNIE Wood has been sending vicious texts to estranged wife Jo over her part on Strictly Come Dancing.
The Rolling Stone, 62, has accused his ex of “cheapening” herself on the hit show in a series of late-night messages.
Now former model Jo – who has been battling flu in rehearsals this week – is struggling to cope.
A source said: “Ron has been getting on Jo’s case for agreeing to appear in Strictly.
“He reckons she has done it to win a popularity contest and get people on her side.
“He thinks it’s cheap to be involved in what he sees as a silly dancing show with fame-hungry wannabes. The messages have been persistent and Jo managed to ignore them for a while.
“But they have started getting her upset now and it has all been a bit too much this week.
“Ron can be a hurtful devil when he wants to be.”
Jo, 54, has been warming the nation’s hearts with her clumsy performances alongside partner Brendan Cole.
She and Ron – who have two children, Leah, 30, and Tyrone, 25 – split last year when the ex-Faces guitarist started dating Russian Ekaterina Ivanova, 21.
They now live together and Jo could win millions in a divorce settlement.
Meanwhile Jo, who has a successful cosmetics company, has been enjoying her new single life.
