Week 10 round up!

After an upsetting start to the show what with Jade and Ian leaving the competition due to injury, week 10 had ups and downs with the dancing.

First up were favourites Ali and Brian dancing a foxtrot. Craig said he could see Ali’s nerves but she insisted she wasn’t nervous at all. I agree with Criag she looked a but stiff out there, but still one of the best of the night with 35 points.

Up next were Natalie and Vincent with the dreaded Samba. Hmmm they weren’t that good and the judges were clearly not impressed with Bruno saying “Natalie, I love you but this was more Bournemouth than Brazil. It was one of your poorest performances. ”

Natalie scored just 26 points and a 5 from  Bruno! They could be in trouble tonight.

chris-and-ola-week-10

Pleased with himself Chris was up next with hottie Ola Jordan. Credit where credit is due he danced this well and got some good comments from Len “You came out with confidence, great rhythm, every time you pivoted everyone was up on their feet. ” He scored 29.

Ricky Whittle and Natalie were up next with their eagerly anticipated American Smooth.

The beginning of the dance was a bit “airy fairy ballet like” but he was in time with Natalie so has to be praised for that.

They were dancing to Somewhere Over the Rainbow and caused a fracas with the judges by doing a certain type of lift; lifting Natalie up above Ricky’s shoulders of which Len said “Why did you do that stupid great big lift? It was incongruous.” They scored 36 and got a 10 from Alesha..whaaat?

laila-and-anton-week-10

Next up were Laila and Anton and to be honest I could take them or leave them. I’m just not feeling it from them but she still danced a really nice waltz, Alesha said “I did have higher expectations. Your posture isn’t quite right. You remembered the routine but I still want to see you work a little bit harder, Laila.”

She scored 29 and only got a 6 from Craig.

Last to dance were crowd pleasers Ricky Groves and Erin “Whiplash” Boag dancing a tango. Oh dear he went wrong at the beginning and never recovered, Craig said “Mistakes galore. It was sterile and mechanical all the way through. ”

He scored just 22 points and is at the bottom of the leaderboard.
