Final final final it’s the final on Saturday (in case you didn’t know)

The big F is approaching. Is it the final, the finale, the grand final – who cares…it’s the ENDGAME.

Three couples remain, Kara and Artem, the so-called favourites, Matt and Aliona and Pamela and James. It’s no secret that I love Pamela and James and would love them to win but it all comes down to this Saturday night.

Is the result already decided or is it anyone’s game?

    Sorry but I am somewhat annoyed at the sycophantic attitude of judges and some commentators towards Pamela Stephenson and her partner.1. I do agree that , technically she performs well but I find her simpering attitude very cloying. Yes, she is “a sixty one year old granny” and a psycho therapist but that is becoming a bit of a yawn.2.James Jordan is undoubtedly a competent choreographer. How clever of him to produce a near copy of his wife’s (Ola)and Chris Hollins’ routine(Charleston)not long after the”It Take Two” programme in which he praised Ola’s routine as the best ever. 3. We have to abide by house rules with regard to language when lodging complaints. I’m old enough to remember Pamela on TV many years ago as being quite foul mouthed like Billy. I apologise if my comments cause offence but it does make my blood boil when these two are treated like icons!!!!

      I do agree with you about Pamela talking too much about her age. Age is not an issue when one is 20, but more of an issue when one is over 60, maybe that is why she talks too much about it. Having said that, I also think that she is a very good dancer and a very good performer with much more charisma than Matt who happens to be a good dancer as well. I do think that this show is about a combination of many factors: great personality, technique and performance. Pamela has managed to show us that she meets such criteria.
      Kara is also an amazing dancer.PAMELA TO WIN thank yoou for reading.

    I think all three are fantastic. I think three of the judges however should be scrapped, Len Out Bruno Out and Alesha most definately out!!!!!

    Already know what they will score the couples as the bias has been so obvious this year.

    Len will give 10′s to Pamela, Bruno will give 10′s to Kara, Alesha will give 10′s to Pamela and Kara. They will all slaughter Matt for choreography he doesn’t put together and the slightest hint of an error (he’s been penalised for thumbs, facial expressions surprised he has not had marks docked for breathing) whilst the stumbles and toe rather than heel leads have gone uncommented on Kara and Pamela.

    Craig is the only one that scores realistically. Hoping for a fair an unbiased final, if not will need a new TV for chrimbo as can see mine being thrown out the window if the judges comments are as they were last week!!!

      Here’s my rant. We all have our favourites, judges included, but in past series they have remained impartial in the final and only given positive comments. Is it only me who after watching the semi final and seeing the results being announced feel that Matt and Aliona were sidelined and ignored even tho they got thru,? Pamela and Kara were announced as finalists and given a little interview then to a break after which Gavin and Scott were told they would be leaving the competition, with no mention of the 3rd finalist!! Matt was heavily criticized for minor errors and i don’t really feel as tho Kara really tried her best in her dances in the final as i think she thought it was ‘in the bag’. Her errors were not picked up on and when they were she didnt lose points on them, as Craig normally does stick to 10′s for perfect dances only. I also think she and Artem played the romance card heavily. Matt and Aliona were the true winners.

    Joanne I totally agree with you. Total bias on judges part.Kara has beenguilty if doing illegal lifts but has not been punished by low marks.
    Also thought the group dance was unfair…based on stamina it should have been Matt that came first.He had just finished his first dance while Kara had quite a while to recover from that.

    Karen Hardy said that neither of those lifts were lifts on ITT and she knows what she is talking about.

    Kara FTW she is so good and if she does not win will a girl ever win this thing again?

    Hi all, just wanted to say that sometimes peoples comments go into spam folder and they get lost in there so never make it to the site.

    I don’t choose what comments go on they all go on automatically and it’s just a mistake when they go into spam!

    I can’t wait for the final, but unfortunately a close friend was born 30 years ago on Sat, so I have to go out instead of hosting a “Strictly Party”!

    I would love Pamela & James to win, but think Kara & Artem may grab it as I’ve got a feeling that their show dance will be fab-u-lous!

    Will I be able to not find out the results until I watch when I’m hung over on Sunday?!

    Glad I’m not the only one who thinks Matt is treated harshly by the judges. Surely if he performs the choreography well with no mistakes the judges should give credit to him even if they don’t like the choreography. Because he was good in week one their attitude seems to be that he should be excellent everyweek and they give him no credit for it at all.
    Agree that Pamela is overmarked and her simpering is getting me down.
    Kara is great but COME ON MATT

    Really the judges were not that bad to him if you actually listen to what they say he just danced badly on that day and come back better the next but his reaction come on be a man and man up crying over a dance contest. Idiot!

      Girl Power – If Kara does not lift the trophy this year I think we might as well just invite an all male celebrities
      to next years line up. Kara may have been suffering with Flu all week but she is the most exciting Dancer and I hope she does it for the GIRLS !

    Hi there,

    Just posted on the other forum. Kara is definitely the best dancer there. I too find Pamela an irritant and her simpering gets me down. I also remember as being a bit on the “lairy” side when she was younger, but she was absolutely awful when she appeared on the Graham Norton show a few weeks back (when she was a fellow guest with Sir Alan Suger). As to Matt, well he has been treated totally unfairly, and he has been consistently excellent from Week 1, but I still feel that it may be Aliona’s choreography that is letting him down. The final two should be Matt and Kara and i really would like to see both of them win – but of course that is not possible. The judges are s biased these days, but it would be good to see a girl win for a change, so I will say it for Kara, she is so elegant and looks like a natural dancer. But Matt’s great too and he should at the very least be the runner-up. But I think Pamela is going to win unfortunately.

      Ah no, Lynne! We are in almost total agreement apart from the put downs re Pamela. I didn’t realize you had added those negative comments re Pamela – otherwise I would not have agreed with you. I agreed with almost everything in this + your other post, including the part where you admitted she has performed very well. That is true and correct. As I said in my first reply, judging her – or any contestant for that matter – on anything other than their dancing ability is unfair + uncalled for. Thought you’d appreciate that – in the same way that you understood the unfairness to Matt? GO KARA, GO MATT, GO PAMELA

    sick of hearing that “pamsie” is a shrinking granny. Most grannies over 60 dont’t flash boobs and thighs so could that influence the judges’ marking of her against the other finalists.The swingathon demonstrated the way in which Mrs Connolly easily runs out of steam. Funny that the judges and others conected with the show have hardly mentioned the s-a-thon after giving it the big build up. I smell a rat!!!

    Help Ive been told I’ve got tickets to the finial tomorrow night but been told its over allocated and we may not get in. Has anyone else been who can help me on this? I’m willing to que for hrs in the freezing cold but would like to know i will get in.

    I love all three contestants however I do feel the papers today are unfair. The stories are about

    1. Pamela wants the Argentine Tango to be sex on the dance floor.

    2. Pamela’s husband wants her to wear the outfits to bed.

    3. Pamela is a 61yr old granny

    4. Kara will sex it up for Artem

    5. Kara looking forward to romance with Artem

    Have not read one single story about Matt!!!! As unfair as the judges scoring!!!!

    Pamela we like you and we know you are 61 and we know you are married to Billy Connelly – but so what???

    Kara you are lovely and you make a great couple with Artem – but so what??

    Matt – you are a farmer surely you have had some sort of romp in the haystacks, apparantly you need to have done something like this to get a story in the papers.

    I have not forgotten you are in the final – hope you dance superbly tonight will be watching and wishing you every success!!!

    sorry, to disagree, vulgar means lacking refinement and grace, Kara and Artim look beautiful together and dance with refinement and grace.

    Matt has tried very hard and has at times been enjoyable to watch, there have been odd occasions when the choreography has not been quite right- Pamela is the judges favourite, personally I think she has been overmarked, she has however performed well for a lady of her age- but the natural grace is lacking.

      Nearly time for final judgement. I agree that Pamela is overmarked and overfavoured by the judges. I know that, as she is aways reminding us, she is the oldest contestant, and has a doctorate. All of these factors should have no bearing on the outcome or judgements. Pamela & james played it safe with the show dance whereas the othe twt contestants took risks .In my opinopn this was as a result of judges directive! MA

    Well, all the dances look sexual, but Kara’s obviously set you off the most if you think they belong in the bedroom. With a name like Bigwilly, you are hardly an example of style or taste.

    So Matt’s samba was better than in Blackpool – so why did he only score the same?

    Kara’s makes LOTS of mistakes in her show dance and get’s 9′s

    Pamela’s was beautiful but simple and get’s 9′s and a 10.

    Not watching this program next year unless those judging muppets are replaced

    Kara covered her injury well. Even if she doesn’t win this (and I think she should) she’ll surely get work in musicals now with her undoubted ability.

    Her epaulement is simply stunning.
