Results: Felicity & Vincent are out of Strictly Come Dancing

Felicity Kendall and her partner Vincent Simone have been voted out of Strictly Come Dancing.

Also in the bottom two for the first time were Patsy and Robin – which gives us a good indication of how the public have been voting.

Unbelievably (or perhaps believably) Ann Widdecombe and Anton du Beke were NOT in the bottom two – is she unstoppable?

Will she be releasing a dance fitness DVD for Christmas?

Watch this space people. Watch this space.

Its absolutely disgraceful that elegant Felicity has gone and frumpy Ann Widecome is still in ……..please………please vote on talent!

  • Liz

    Hi

Of the two, I think Felcity was the one to go. However, Anne Widdicombe should be ashamed to allow this travesty. I think she should de the decent thing ( as John Sergeant did ) and stand down before another couple has to go instead of her.

I think she has tried her best, but her best is so far from what everyone else has achieved.

    • sassychassee

That’s just the point though….she HASN’T tried her best, if indeed she has tried at all! Instead of accepting that as a pro Anton knows how to choreograph a Samba, she disnisses even basic moves as “totally inappropriate”, and refuses to co-operate! All she does is hold out her arms and wait to be flung to the floor!

      • Cooe

I cannot agree more, AW has such an arrogant attitude everything has to be “HER WAY” I pray that she is voted out this week.

  • bUSY BEE

Ann Widecombe has no dignity and no moral values if she continues this farcical contribution to what is otherwise a fantastic dance competition. The BBC will regret her inclusion in this series when nobody watches next year. I have a great sense of humour, but really BBC don’t do this again. It’s a total farce. At least John Sergeant bailed out before he became a laughing stock. Despite the Beebs insistence that this is an entertainment show and anybody is entitled to win, it’s all wearing a bit thin now. There really are enough programmes on TV already that allow for idiocy. Stop it now! Please! You are spoiling this programme for those of us who appreciate how hard the others work to improve.

    • 2dogeez

      Get a life folks!!!!!
If this were a serious dance competition it would be on BBC Sport. It’s not even a Talent show!!!!!
It’s pure Saturday night ENTERTAINMENT, which is THE ONLY THE ONLY REASON ANN WAS INVITED TO PARTICIPATE.
The only time I’ve ever watched past the second round was when John Sergeant participated.
Good luck Ann….. You most certainly entertain. I for one hope you win.

    • jojo

I could not agree with you more. Anne Widdecombe does not even try and manages to stay in the competition voted for by idiots who are obviously not genuine fans. The other celebs who actually can dance and try really hard must think -why bother! This used to be a great show but due to various unnecessary changes it is going vastly down hill. If the producers think that by encouraging the likes of Anne’s ‘comedy routines’ are gaining viewers they are sadly mistaken. All they are succeeding in doing is losing the viewers that have been loyal for season after season. Losing Arlene – first mistake, losing popular dancers eg, Karen Hardy, Darren and Lilia, Brian and Matthew- further mistakes and the biggest mistake of all – what is going on with the half hour slot on Sunday!!! Bring back the dance off. I will just re-inforce the comments posted by many others, Strictly was not not broke so why try to fix it!!!!!! BBC if you continue like this you will lose any genuine fans left.

      • TinaB

Why was it that when John Seargent was in the show, the judges kept saying it was wrong for him to stay as it was a “dance competition” – now they keep saying it’s an “entertainment show” and therefore it’s OK for Anne to stay in!!! When you watch the VT for training, she moans to Anton about the dance steps being obscene and that she won’t do them – surely if the steps form part of the dance she should perform them (to her best ability of course!). Did she not watch the programme before agreeing to do it? If I were one of the others, who have committed to training hard to get the steps right, I would be miffed at someone who doesn’t even try, getting further in the competition. Please let’s go back to voting for the best dancer otherwise I think quite a few people won’t watch it in the future and that would be a travesty!!!!

    • martin

Remember, it’s the viewers who are voting to keep Ann Widdecombe in. They spend their hard earned money on votes for Ann, so who are you to show such appalling arrogance and disrespect to your fellow viewers. You are not better than anyone else and their views count just as much as yours.

What will it tell us if Ann wins the show? The British public don’t like bullies (Craig and Len, in particular) and they have a sense of fair play that supports the underdog. Ann Widdecombe is verbally more than a match for any of the judges, Bruce Forsyth and the other contestants and, teamed with the best loved dancer, it’s a winning formula.

      • cachou9999

        Are you sober ?

    • angharad

I couldn’t agree more. I love Strictly, but what was once a lovely, classy programme is being spoiled and turned into a joke. The BBC have made a big mistake yes, and their putting in a stooge type competitor for ‘entertainment value’ has backfired on them this time. HOPEFULLY they won’t do it again. This lady is relentless in her determination to do things her way, laying down the law about what she will and will not do, whilst all the other competitors try their hardest to achieve whatever is asked of them, and they do so with such hard work, then stand before the judges and accept their comments with grace.

      • luckyfwb

Absolutely right, get the sack of potatoes off the show. Every week I was saying well now surely talent and hard work will win over the utter lack of team spirit that AW has displayed. Get her off, get her off now … she is better suited to going back to her nightly catholic prayers

    • cachou9999

I fully agree. Since anne Widdecombe imposes her ugly and rude performance to us viewers, we (the family here) decided to stop watching the show altogether for it has become a freak show with her.

  • Gilly Says

Although I have not and never will vote for Ann, I think that people who say that her continued inclusion is a travesty shouldn’t blame the BBC they should blame the idiots still voting for her, I mean after all the judges are doing THEIR best to get rid of her arnt they. And please please try not to forget that it is for charity

    • cachou9999

I fully agree that the (bribed) voters are ruining the show by allowing this disgraceful Ann to keep on mopping th floor with her bum. No charity business deserves that ugliness.

  • http://strictly jenwren

So sad to see Felicity and Vincent go.She was not the best dancer and was certainly not the worst. I thought she was beautiful and classy throughout.xxx

Pamela is a fair dancer ,however I just cannot stand her smug face. all that false laughter doesn’t fool me!!

Love Patsy.KARA to win she is fabulous.

    • vicky

totally agree, kara to win ,great dancer and so genuine, ann has got to go,otherwise the series is a total farce,

  • Paul

Gilly, I would like to agree with you but from memory I believe Len gave only 1 more point to Kara (who should win the competition) than he gave to Ann. Looking at the rules where each couple can only earn a maximum score equal to the number of couples taking part that week, from both the judges and the public I dont see how Ann has survived AGAIN!!!!

  • Steve

I for one have voted with my feet. I’m afraid i shall not be watching until Ann has been removed.

  • Bunty

    B-o-r-e-d!!!!

I think that Ann Widdecombe has now exhausted my patience – getting very fed up of seeing the same old routine,ie Anton lugging her about, and the woman herself walking through every dance. Was funny to start with, but now we’re getting to the nitty gritty, I think it’s high time she left before the genuine Strictly fans do.

  • http://www.livingmosaic.nl suzy

i think everyone is forgetting Gavin. I’m welsh but he has to go. He’s awful. He has at last shown some signs of personality but his dancing is ‘pants’. Then Anne should go and then felicity (with my beloved and favourite Vincent), then Patsy (again another favourite) and then we have the last real contenders. Why is Gavin still in? why did he succeed Jimi, Goldie, Tina? don’t tell me just coz he’s got muscles (which are not the B-all-and-end-all), that he’s still there! surely, personality and ability count. Get a grip. Suzy

  • ella

im not happy felicity is a good dancer she should have stayed in.

  • Roger

What a lot of very sad people, this is fantastic shows Reality TV for exactly what it is,I cannot believe that people are taking this seriously I thought TV was about entertainment and this is what we are getting. I have never watched any reality programme until I heard about the performance of Ann I now watch it every week and hope that ANN IS THE WINNER. The more that people get all bitter and twisted about it the more I enjoy the press coverage.

    • Jaxx

Roger – The title of the show is Strictly come dancing – Ann W is not and could never be dancer! To call her a dancer is a serious misrepresentation! In fact she cannot dance at all. She is actually worse than John Sargeant if that is possible. If she had an ounce of self respect – which she cannot have as she is/was a conservative minister, then she would bow out gracefully – very late – but out would be good, Does she realise that the voters who vote for her are taking the p*** out of her and the programm.

  • zwee

It’s not for charity any more. It wasn’t last year either. It’s business. There’s no business like show business!
Yes, I have seen enough of Anne, but whatever happens I doubt she will actually win.

  • Robert

Ann never looks as though she even knows what she’s doing. Anton basically has to drag her round the dancefloor every week. She doesn’t appear to be putting in any effort. All she does is clomp her way round the floor showing absolutely no signs of ability or improvement. It’s very unfair on the others who are clearly putting in a lot of effort and are getting better.

Eventually one of the real contenders, like Matt, Scott or Kara is going to go and Ann will be left in. It was entertainment at the start, but her pathetically poor dances aren’t funny any more.

  • Trisha

I agree. Ann should now go before anyone else gets voted out unnecessarily. It is now embarrasing. It is a dance competition. Felicity and Patsy in the last 2 – what a joke. Please voters vote for the best dancer.

  • nursesarah

I’m so thankful Felicity has been voted off she was awful and she had to go. Ann Widdecombe should have been voted off long ago and it’s an insult to all the talented people out there who are fantastic!

  • Jamie-Lou

I think after everything anne has been through the least she deserves is to have a laugh!!!

All of you should be ashamed of yourselves for talking about her in this way!!! What has she ever done to you???????????? She’s having a laugh and that is what strictly is about!

It’s not an actual talent contest guys! If it was there would be an actual prize! not just a trophy!

I think you all need to loosen up a bit and get your own god damn lives!!!! It’s strictly come dancing for god’s sake not a matter of life or death!!! I’ve watched every series of it and people like anne make it fun!!!

The majority of you here obviously take things way to seriously and don’t have any kind of sense of humour!!!

    • Natalie Graham

What has she done to me? Besides regarding me and people like me as “an abomination” and voting in Parliament to deny me equal rights with the rest of the population, you mean?

  • Meg

I think all of you who are whinging about Ann Widdecombe need to realise that Strictly come dancing is an entertainment programme as mentioned before in an earlier post, yes i agree she may not be the best dancer in the world, however I watch every Saturday just to have a good old belly laugh at what her and Anton will do next. I don’t know about anyone else, but can any of you tell me the last time you had a gool old belly laugh at Eastenders or any of the other soaps that you probably watch.

Also if you want Ann off the show stop voting to keep her in, It’s as simple as that. As for the “bully judges” no-one whines when Simon Cowell does it to those kids on the X-factor. They are one in the same it’s all done for viewer ratings. People want to hear the harsh comments from Craig and als Ken at times and to be honest i find them funnier than the dancing and sometimes they are needed for the contestant to improve, case and point Gavin Henson

    • Sandera

If you haven’t noticed the programme is called ‘Strictly come DANCING’ and not Strictly come and entertain us.

  • Robert

Of course it’s supposed to be entertainment, but I can honestly say that I don’t find ann stomping around the dancefloor in any way entertaining. It’s just cringeworthy. And you can’t tell me that Jimi Mistry for example, was quite happy to be voted off because it’s just an entertainment show. The other dancers are clearly putting in a lot of effort. How must they feel to see their efforts go unrewarded compared to Ann, who doesn’t appear to do anything – she never even seems to know the routine!

  • myriam

Why is Ann Widecombe still in this contest? She can’t dance at all! I’ve never submitted a comment before but it makes the contest look like a joke to the publi.

    • Jill Arnold

Ann is a lovely person but a lousy dancer. What’s the matter with viewers votes for her – are they making fun of her, etc. Not fair on those fab dancers, some of them have to be eliminated cos of Ann and also cos of how many votes.

Its sickening and a farce for poor Ann to carry on dancing stupidly.

      • cachou9999

Ann can’t be a lovely dancer when she rejoices in having good dancers being voted off to keep her silly and rude shows and to enjoy herself not thinking of the indecency to the viewers.

  • Tim

Ann Widecombe was vaguely amusing for a couple of weeks – but all jokes get tiring after a while. Felicity had a shaky start to the series, but came on leaps and bounds, she danced well and looked amazing in Blackpool – I think its terrible that she been voted off.

  • linda

Felicity should have stayed , she was really good and Ann should be out by now it’s getting closer to the final I’m shocked that Felicity got knocked out

  • Susan

The comedy is wearing thin now; Ann wasn’t trying to do the hip actions and proper stuff of the samba- she was running to keep up with the music. I think she should resign.

Felicity was better and a better dancer – so the competition is becoming more irritating now; I think Ann should call it a day- because she can’t do the Latin at all.

  • MrAWG

I have now decided that I cannot watch the show any more. I love the dancing – even Gavin and Patsy who try so hard – but to watch smug, unembarrassable Ann lumber around and be dragged around by the clearly embarrassed Anton is too much. It makes me angry and spoils the show and the night.
As for allowing the odious Vinca Cable on the Xmas special, that has made me convinced the the BBC have really lost the plot.

  • http://www.zentai.hk Lycra Leggings

WOO HOO great ! Try for sharing.

  • http://BBC Dottie

When will Widdy realise that once people laughed with her but now they are fed up with her effortless lumbering around looking like a banana! She should do the decent thing and find some excuse to leave the show. She is an embarrassment – nothing she does is any way connected with dance. Go back to Newton Abbot and stay there please.

  • http://kenbradshawentertainments.com Ken Bradshaw

What the Heck is Happening to the Television Companies today. Voting off the more talented Dancers in Strictly and keeping the inadequate ones in just to boost ratings. It is ridiculous. As much as I like Anton and feel he is unjustly punished with the worst Dancers ever to try and teach. But Ann Widecombe is totally Rubbish. She is supposed to be an intelligent woman, yet she lacks the logic to see that she shouldn’t be there. She must have an Ego the size of wales thinking she should be in this competition. In real life competitions, she wouldn’t have got through the doors of the Ballroom. But this is television and it all comes down to ratings. The Public Love an idiot! Unfortunately, that’s what Ann has become. I agree with Craig. Totally

  • Chris H

To all the idiots who claim “It’s only entertainment”.

It appears that in order to get through from week to week, you don’t even need to dance. You need to do some kind of incompetant wallowing comedy routine. So why don’t ALL the other dancers do that then? After all, if AW is sooo amusing just think how really very funny it would be for every other contestant to put on 5 stone and just to have 1 hour’s practice. I mean – it’s just entertainment isn’t it?
Come to think of it, I’m going to stop going to footy matches until they replace the game with tumbling chimpanzees in superhero outfits. That will be far more entertaining than watching blokes kicking a ball about – despite it being billed as a football match.

    Sheesh…

  • nurit

Ann should stop making a fool of herself andcleave with dignity. It was much too embaressing to see her last Saturday. Give us all a break and give Anton his life back, poor guy.

  • http://google elz

this programme could still be good, please get rid of that odious woman, if anton isnt careful no one will take him serioulsy as a professional dancer. The other dancers are trying so hard it is not fair to be voted off, and the one person who cant dance is still left in.

  • Pat

As a real Strictly fan and follower, have just watched It Takes 2 with Claudia. I feel so sorry for the judges this week, what an awful job they have. Surely with Ann’s low scores she cannot possibly get through again!! Please voters vote for the BEST dancer not the WORST.

  • Joanna Munro

Time to concede gracefully Miss widdecombe. You are no match for the other competitors. Do not become more of a laughing stock, or a selfish lady, just wanting and needing the limelight again. Many talented dancers have had to leave recently, when it should have been you. Time to say goodbye Ann leave yourself some dignity.

  • janet

I agree with Joanna. Its time to go Ann Widdecombe! Be a lady and step down! Don’t drag yourself on and on. Give a proper chance to the talented dancers who work their ‘but’ off every week in training. As Ann Robinson would say: goodbye you are the weakest link.

  • Jane Haggarty-Jaggi

Its obcene to watch miss widdecombe dancing its not funny i thought the british were more intelligent get rid of her and fast.

  • Jean

Ann Widdecombe is doing herself no favours and neither is the BBC .. Makes me wonder if ann applied as much effort into her politics as she does into the dancing. Or did she only bother with the bits she liked … As for the BBC I think it’s time they applied the same ageist rules to contestants as they appear to do to the professional dancers, or at least insert a clause that says they will be dropped if they make no attempt to improve their dance… Please Ann at least try to dance the dances as they should be danced in between the humorous bits.

  • fifi

Ann was funny to begin with but now she has to go, she can’t dance no matter how hard Anton tries. Good dancers are being voted off the show and this is firstly a dance show – not a comedy show.

  • J Wigglesworth

I totally agree !!! I feel sorry for those who are putting in hours and hours of practice to improve. Its not fair that she is still in .

  • Phizzer

Sorry to see Felicity and Vincent go – when are we going to see the back of Ann Widdecombe? The BBC say it is not a competition, so why is a trophy awarded, but an entertainment show. Well if they think watching Ann stomping around the dance floor (or even being used as a means of cleaning it!) they have a strange idea of what entertainment is. Even Ann’s “witty rapport” is getting ever tiresome. When is the woman going to realise that the public are laughing AT her not WITH her!It must be soul destroying for the celebrities and their partners, who are working hard to improve their dancing, when week after week they are being voted off and she stays. I can only hope the public come to their senses and stop voting for Ann.

    • Maureen

Totally agree with all these comments. Ann is no longer funny, she is making no attempt to learn to dance and her refusal to do a valid salsa move as being inapropriate is totally out of order. She is becoming very arrogant with her comments and needs to go. People out there voting for her please STOP

    • Lynnebee

As an Irish fan who would love to vote for the good dancers but can’t, I’m at my wits end trying to understand the Brisish ‘sense of humour’ of those who find MS WIDDECOMBE & her stomping funny! I have watched all series and also watch ITT every day and recall a few years ago that the judges (well, Len I think) were threatening to disqualify Brendan and partner if he put in an extra lift the following week. Why then can’t the judges disqualify Ann for refusing to attempt the steps and for being so totally obnoxious to Craig? My only other suggestion is that Anton declares himself ‘injured’ and unable to dance, don’t think anyone else would take on the odious woman. PLease please please before any of the really good dancers are eliminated, get rid of the elephant in custard!

  • Carol

This is a genuine question. Do the people who vote for Ann Widdecombe not find the other better dancers “entertaining”?
I’m irritated because I don’t understand why someone would rather watch her plod around than see the amazing talent that some of the other competitors have.
I think once it gets down to Matt, Kara and Scott Ann might go but I’m worried that people favour the underdog a little too much and don’t give credit where it’s due.
I commend Ann for sticking to her values but refusing to do basic and/or fundamental steps which are trademark to some dances takes away from it. Perhaps if she has moral issues with the concept of the dances this was not really the show for her?
Another thing I want to genuinely ask: looking here at the ratio of people who want Ann to go and who want her to stay she would have been out long ago… how does that work? Do people who want her to stay in vote many times?
People who complain seem to have the loudest voice but to no effect. Do these people actually vote at all? If not, do they technically have a say?
Not trying to offend anyone but trying to straighten things out in my head.
    I’d be grateful for a reply :)

  • Ian

Kat, can not agree more !! If Ax2 gets through to the final then I for one will never watch the show again !!!

She has to go this week ! Even Gavin has improved and is making the effort to improve !! (Not that he has not tried before) ….

Why can the BBC not relalise that this is a mistake and read all of the posts on the numerous message boards and blogs that say the same ?? Who is voting for her ?? and why do they not publish the final results for all the viewers to see them ??

Don’t give me that nonsense that it will affect the contestants, if they can not take it they should never have agreed to enter ??

  • Julie

Anne Widecome continuing to be on the show has got beyond a joke and it is beginning to ruin the whole show for me – but not enough yet to not watch it at all. Surely Anne Widecombe would be better off on one of those programmes where people are laughed at for falling over – cant remember what they are called as I choose not to watch them. Would the BBC notice if all of us who want Anne to leave turn our television off during her dance?

  • sally

Ann is certainly not “lovely” … neither is she funny. She is an arrogant woman without sensitivity, which fits well with her Tory party persona. She has questionable values [to put it at its mildest]. She has been allowed to destroy any real contest … how can it be real when better people are having to leave while she smugly carries on, imagining she is a well-loved clown who deserves to win for her pure entertainment value. What a tedious woman, and except for Craig, the panel are not giving her realistic marks … and surely it should be for dancing, not for having the gall to continue and come out with something even worse week after week.I suspect that those voting for her come from a similar ilk, or they just don’t understand what she did as a Conservative minister which renders her extremely unloveable. If she wins, she will have succeeded in contributing to the end of what was once a decent programme. I like Alesha, but most of her comments are inane – almost anyone could say what she says. Losing Arlene was the beginning of the end. And they should bring back the dance-off!

    • http://bbc.co.uk/stricktly Heather

I am so relieved to find people like myself feeling so despondent over the widdicombe farce!I totally agree with Sally’s comments. Why can’t Ann do the decent thing as John Sergent did and bow out gracefully? She is now ruining a wonderful DANCE show! She has had her fun,I feel so sorry for Anton. He is such a wonderful dancer and never gets chance to show his amazing talent.I will certainly not watch the final if she gets any where near it!Come on you so called dancing fans, wake up and vote for someone who can dance!

    • JENNY

I totally agree. I don’t know anyone who thinks Ann is remotely entertaining and she is absolutely ruining a good show. Strictly always used to be the highlight of my viewing year but I am seriously considering not watching any more. It is not fair that people who can really dance are being voted off just because Ann is so arrogant to think that she deserves to still be in. Heaven forbid if she gets to the final – I think the viewing figures will plummet dramatically!!!!

  • Laura

I loved Strictly Come Dancing. I can’t dance and I loved seeing celebs doing something they don’t usually do for a living, working hard, improving and obviously enjoying themselves. I’ve now stopped watching it! I can dance as well as Anne W, although I’m not quite the same Heffa. I’m not interested in watching that type of person on these shows. So, not that the BBC cares, you’ve certainly lost one viewer. The only good thing about Anne dancing was that I got a tea break!
