Former Neighbours star Jason Donovan is hoping that his turn on the Strictly dance floor will lead to glittering roles television.
Donovan says, “I’d love to do more television drama and I think I’m capable of something gritty. I don’t know whether dancing the cha cha is necessarily going to lead to a lead role in Spooks, though.”
Jason told TV Times that he’s nervous about appearing on Strictly: “My biggest problem is relaxing and learning how to smile.
“I have an intensity on my face like the world’s about to end and that’s probably not the image people want on a Saturday night.”
