Russell Grant’s time on Strictly Come Dancing has come to an end as he was voted out last night at Wembley Arena. Many Strictly fans will breathe a sigh of relief as they felt it was his time to go.
Now I was going to say that it was a shock to see Holly and Artem in the bottom two but I don’t think that it was. She’s so laid back she is almost horizontal and we like someone who puts in some really hard graft on this show; or at least someone who shows it!
But it was Russell and Flavia who got the boot. Reflecting back on the results of tonight’s show Russell said, “Every show I’ve done has been a highlight, it’s been fantastic. The public have been great, the audiences have been great. I’ve learnt from the judges, I’ve listened to the judges… but most of all I’ve had the most fantastic partner in Flavia Cacace.”
And his professional partner Flavia added “I completely agree with everyone out there who absolutely loves you because you are a true inspiration. It has been an absolute pleasure and joy partnering you.”
There were lots of performances to enjoy on the show too; Jesse J and James Morrison performed (lucky audience!) as well as some great numbers from the professionals and the celebs.
Hilariously Jason, Robbie, Harry and Russell dressed up as The Beatles. What a good look!
I think the competition is on now and the celebs need to pull out some really show-stopping dances for week 9.
