Anita Dobson and Rentapro Brendan Cole and Robin Windsor have been voted off Strictly Come Dancing in week 9. Holly Valance and Artem Chigvintsev also found themselves in the bottom two for the second week running.

Brendan Cole is having to step up again this week as professional dancer Robin Windsor has been ruled out of Strictly with a foot infection.

Anita and Robin have formed a great partnership this year so I’m sure both parties are really upset that he won’t be dancing this Saturday.

Brendan Cole joked on Twitter; “Hello #Rentapro here! Well yes it’s true. My #SCD days aren’t over yet! I’m standing in for @Robinwindsor this week while his foot recovers!”

Brendan gets a reprieve! Nanny will be happy. So Artem will not be dancing on Saturday night due to a injury on his spine and Brendan Cole will fill in for him. Insiders say Artem will be out of action for at least two weeks but will have no problem dancing again once the injury has healed.

Holly and Brendan will dance a Rumba on Saturday night and Artem has been choreographing the dance in training.

My Nanny won’t be happy! Yes Lulu and Brendan are out of Strictly Come Dancing in week 6 – ironically going out on what I thought was their best performance. Lulu and Brendan scored 27 points for their tango but it wasn’t enough and the public voted them out of the competition.

Jennifer Grey was a guest judge and whilst I was watching a 45 minute fireworks display in an otherwise sleepy Leicestershire village, Jennifer was giving her sparkling comments to the couples and had obviously been to the Len Goodman school of puns and phrases. I liked her and thought she was good. Nobody puts Baby in the corner! Must watch Dirty Dancing this week.

She must have been so nervous but Zoe Ball sailed through her first It Takes Two; apart from getting a feather stuck in her throat at the beginning. And how good was the opening “bit”? Fabulous!

Don’t even get me started on the sparkly studio! It looks like a glitter bomb went off – totally over the top. Totally Strictly!

Lulu and Brendan were on the show first talking about their dance disarrrster. Lulu said she agreed with Craig and that she just got lost in the nerves and totally forget the steps.

Next week they are dancing; the FOXTROT.

When it was revealed that Lulu would be dancing with Brendan Cole on Saturday, Lulu’s reaction left us all confused. Shaking her head and saying “No!” to one of the most loved Strictly professionals seemed very strange. (Poor Brendan!).

An insider told The Sun newspaper: “She’d been telling people – including Brendan – at rehearsals that she really didn’t want him. ‘Brendan has a reputation for being really strict with dance partners and a hard task-master. She wanted someone who’d be softer with her and had set her sights on Pasha.”

Talking about the moment when Brendan whisked her off-stage after it was revealed she would partner him, Lulu said: “I was in shock. I want to stay in the show as long as I can because I want to learn to dance. I am good for a few moves but I am not a dancer.”

Brendan Cole will miss this Saturday’s show as he flies to New Zealand after the death of his father, Eddie.

Brendan was told of the news of his father’s death who was suffering from cancer,  just hours before Strictly started on Saturday but got through his rumba with partner Michelle Williams.

A friend of Mr Cole’s told the Daily Mail: ‘Brendan is incredibly disciplined and always professional, so he went out on the dancefloor on Saturday night.

‘He didn’t tell any of the contestants, I think he was just in a state of shock. His father had been ill for quite a while, but Brendan is of course, devastated.’

Michelle will perform the tango on Saturday with Strictly favourite Ian Waite.

Lisa Snowdon has claimed that her Strictly Come Dancing partner Brendan Cole has been transformed by his latest girlfriend.

The model, who recently described Cole as “sexy” and a “real man”, predicted that the professional dancer will stay faithful to model Zoe Hobbs.

“It is true that Brendan’s chilled out in his old age,” Snowdon explained. “I hate to shatter the big lothario illusion, but he has a girlfriend and he’s happy with her – and it’s changed him.”
