What kind of judge will Jennifer Grey be?

Tomorrow night the remaining ten couples will take to the floor and guest judge Jennifer Grey will take the place of Len Goodman. Jennifer won this year’s Dancing with the Stars and of course we all know her from Dirty Dancing!

I hope this week we will return to less props and themes and more hardcore dancing! I want to see blood, sweat and tears!

Trumpets, tens and hair flicking: week 4 Strictly Come Dancing

Oh the props, the props! Begone the props! Was there really any need for those trumpets? Or the walk up the stairs? Or the bed and the teddy bear? Actually I loved Russell and Flavia’s tango. More beds and teddy bears I say. Russell just brings so much joy to Strictly and you can tell Flavia is loving it too.

The same can be said for Chelsee and Pasha who really excelled this week with their quickstep.

First to dance this week were Jason “the face” Donovan and Kristina Rihanoff dancing the difficult Paso Doble. Hmmmm it was definitely not as good as the first few dances but he gave it a good go. I think he was a little disappointed at the judges comments and the scores but I’m sure he’ll improve next week. He hopes!

Jason scored 6, 7, 7, 7 = 27

Next to dance were Alex and James. Now Alex was wearing a particularly sexy and revealing catsuit for their rumba but it didn’t seem to help her act very sexy. I agree with Craig (as usual) “sexless, cold and stiff”. James is getting so angry but he’s right James – your girl’s got all the equipment but isn’t using it!

Alex scored 4, 7, 7, 7 = 25

Rory and Erin were up next dancing the cha cha. Now I actually love Rory and think he does have loads of potential but I’m not sure this dance did him any favours. Erin wants him to be sexy and gyrate the hips. Bruno said it was “very funny” and Craig called it “gauche and gawky”. Poor Rory. Stick to the ballroom!

Rory scored 4, 7, 6, 7 = 24

Dancing the foxtrot were Audley and Natalie. Audley went to a ballet class this week and I think you can definitely see an improvement in his arms and fluidity; but he ain’t a dancer is he? Natalie made a big fuss about her dress coming undone.

Audley scored 6, 7, 6, 6 = 25

Grrrr Nancy and Anton were up next dancing a Paso Doble. I’m so annoyed with Anton I can hardly write. If he took it a bit more seriously and trained her properly then maybe she would dance better. Jog on Anton.

Nancy scored 3, 5, 5, 5 = 18

Lulu and Brendan danced a samba next. Ok she was better but she still missed some moves and Brendan did look a little annoyed with her didn’t he? And those trumpets at the beginning..why? The two highlights of their dance was when they ran up the stairs for no reason and James Jordan heckling the judges.

Lulu scored 5, 6, 7, 7 = 25

Holly and Artem were up next dancing a Viennese Waltz. Apart from some pesky streetlamps that seemed to be getting in the way, I thought she danced it really well. She really needs to let go though as she’ll never win if she doesn’t.

Holly scored 7, 7, 8, 8 = 30

Ah the lovely Chelsee and Pasha were up next dancing a quickstep. I love these two! They are so happy and relaxed and I think Chelsee has got exactly the right attitude to win this competition – and the skill of course. I really think she could win and I was really impressed with their quickstep – my dance of the night! Craig called it “first class”.

Chelsee scored 9, 9, 9, 9 = 36

“Whodunnit”??? Asks Nancy as her dress is sabotaged minutes before her performance

Nancy Dell’Olio was left shaken before her first performance last Saturday, it has been revealed, as her dress was sabotaged before she was due to go on stage.

An insider said: “The dress was hanging with all the others on the communal rail outside the dressing room area.

“After having her make-up done Nancy went to collect it and saw it had had water chucked all over it. It was drenched.

“Also the hem had been altered, it was fraying. Nancy was stunned. She was asking ‘Whodunnit?’ but no one had any answers. It was pretty strange.

The 14 celebrities who have signed up for the eighth series of the programme, were at BBC Television Centre to film the reveal show which is due to air on Saturday at 6:46pm.

Having already been crowned Britain’s Sexiest Actress, Kara Tointon now on track to becoming Strictly Come Dancing’s sexiest contestant. The former Eastenders star sent the flashbulbs into a frenzy as she arrived at the launch show for the new series in a dress that left little to the imagination.

Kara, 27, who played the ‘tart with a heart’ Dawn Swannn on the soap until last year, flaunted her trim figure in an azure blue frock that was slashed at her left side and pinned daringly together at her hip.

Her weeks of gym visits ahead of the start of the BBC One show have certainly paid off as she looked trim and in great shape and ready to start turning some shapes on the Strictly dancefloor.

Ex-Destiny’s Child singer Michelle Williams proved she was still very bootylicious as she waved to the cameras, her short fringed, bright orange dress showing off her long slender legs.

Other contestants include Holby City star Patsy Kensit, who was all smiles as she arrived for the recording and photo call.

The actress, 42, posed in a hot pink dress with a plunging neckline and fringed skirt as she made her way inside, closely followed by author, psychologist and the wife of comedian Billy Connolly, Pamela Stevenson, 60, who also dazzled in a bright pink ensemble.

Goldie (the one with the gold tooth) asked to do Strictly?

Actor and musician Goldie is reportedly being signed up to this years Strictly Come Dancing.

He’s known for being outspoken and not to pull any punched so if this is true I’ll look forward to this years Strictly having a bit more personality than last years.

More doubts over Dixon’s ‘Strictly’ future

Alesha Dixon’s absence from Strictly Come Dancing’s forthcoming Sport Relief special has sparked fresh speculation over her future as a judge.

Len Goodman, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli will be the only panellists to appear on screen when the one-off episode airs on March 19.

A show spokesperson explained Dixon’s absence by pointing out that the special was filmed during a London date of the Strictly Come Dancing tour, which the popstar was not involved in.

However, an insider told The Mirror that her non-appearance “could be a sign of things to come”.

Reports suggested yesterday that Dixon may not return for the eighth series in the autumn. She has yet to confirm her future involvement with the programme.

The singer replaced long-standing judge Arlene Phillips on the panel last year.
