Teddy SheringhamPop star Rachel Stevens is no stranger to the stage, and her long legion of male fans would agree she is a natural performer.

But the former S Club 7 beauty will be put to the test when she appears in celebrity dance off competition Strictly Come Dancing.

The Don’t Stop Moving singer signed up to the BBC1 show, which airs on September 13,  in a bid to give her career a jump start.

Celebrities including Kelly Brook have seen a revival in their careers since appearing on the show and the sexy singer is hoping it will give hers a much-needed boost as well.

While the BBC has yet to officially announce the line up, it is understood chef Gary Rhodes and M people singer Heather Small will appear on the show.

Model Jodie Kidd and model and ex of George Clooney Lisa Snowdon are also tipped to be taking part.

Meanwhile Ex-England footballer Teddy Sheringham has also been limbering up for his performance on the dance floor.

The 42-year-old former Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United star, who retired from professional football in March after ending his career with Colchester United.

He has appeared on TV shows including A Question of Sport and Football Focus.

But the 6ft striker will no doubt be in for a shock as he rehearses for the challenging role.

Producers hope the next show will be a big ratings winner with a mixture of faces from an array of celebrity circles.

‘There is a good selection of famous faces from TV and a few from the world of sport,’ a source revealed.

‘It is one of the best line ups so far and we can’t wait to see how they get on once they take on the dance floor.’

The BBC will officially announce the line up at the end of next week.
