The semi-finals are upon us and I for one cannot wait to see what will happen tonight!
Will all three couples go through? Will Chris and Ola make the final? Will Darcey say something worthwhile?
All three couples will be dancing the argentine tango and a rechoreographed routine from one of their previous dances.
Ali and Brian will be dancing the american smooth, Chris and Ola will be dancing a rumba and Ricky and Natalie a waltz.
Who will prevail? The decepticons or the autobots..oops sorry just watched Transformers 2 last night.
Also on the show is Lily Allen, the cast of Hairspray and the World Showdance Champions – I love a good showdance I do!

Rickys waltz I thought the waltz didn’t allow lifts yet Ricky started with a lift none of judges made a comment yet when Brendon Cole did a lift he was repremanded and points taken off does this only apply to the pro maybe the judges are a little one sided.

What a disappointing result – Alie and Brian should have been in the final – the final will be spoilt as it will not be a dance competition. I know Chris and Olla are popular but they are simply not the best dancers.
Let the judging panel decide the final results in future.

Having watched the program tonight and It takes 2 during the week, it was obvious that Ali and Bryan were going out. Ricky was feted and praised all week while Chris’s faults were overlooked in favour of his personality which is always being “bigged up” by Claudia, the judges, other dancers et. al. There was also a lack of enthusiasm about Brian and Ali by anyone on the week’s programs. Dance seems to take secondary place, even in the mind of CRH who is usually objective. Sumliminal influences at work definitely.
Ali’s presumably expected to be a *good girl*, and console herself for being denied a well-deserved place in the final, with the fact that she *got her American boy*… ye gods!
As for the comments about Chris’s hard work and enthusiasm being what Strictly’s all about; well, surely hard work, enthusiasm AND an ability to translate that into sensational dancing is even MORE what Strictly’s about?
What a shame that the best dancing pair didn’t win tonight. What on earth is going on? They danced so beautifully. I hope they go on and on giving dance lovers joy and that the lovers dance joyously into the sunset! Thank you and WELL DONE Ali and Brian.
I am fuming that Brian and Ali are not in the final. The whole thing stinks especially as Chris has never been in the bottom two. He resembles a hobbit in pain with those aweful splayed hands when dancing. Who on earth is voting for him when it is obvious Ricky and Ali are the better dancers and we have now been deprived of a great final. It wouldn’t have anything to do with Chris being a BBC presenter per chance. There’s something fishy going on and no doubt he will win and I for one will never watch Strictly again.
what a fix.ali and brian have been well stiched up.it\’s a dance competition not a personality contest.and i wonder what james jordan thinks,bet he keeps his mouth shut this year,remember how he slated john sargeant last year on getting through when better dancers were voted off. as for the non final,why bother to have judges, why bother to dance,why bother to watch,just have the phone in.
All the above comments, in my opinion, are spot-on. The obvious and crude manipulation of the BBC to secure the final they wanted is as clear as their bias.
In last years and this years semi-finals the rule book has been discarded to suit the powers that be.
Either Rachel Stevens or Lisa Snowdon should have won last year for their all-round ability, but Tom Chambers was allowed in through the back door. It was so obvious, the BBC must take us for fools.
The bottom line dictates that Ali Bastian and Brian Fortuna should have at least had the opportunity to contest the final.
It appears that they don\’t take much notice of us fellow DANCE fans, they are taking the dance element away in favour of personality more and more. Personality is fine , but surely the dance is paramount.
I’ve previously commented with the namesd ‘Team Cola’ and ‘I L Ali + Brian’ the competition is the get people viewing X Factor is on on BBC 1 and they need to raise there viewing if more of the public viewers are voting for Chris and they want viewers Chris should stay in at the end of the day if thhey want a dancing competition they shouldn’t used celeb everyone has there favourite celeb, everyone doesn’t want to see perfectly executed routines we want to see a bit of fun….
It may noy be all about the dancing in your opinion, but it should be all about the grammar in your case. What on earth are you trying to say?
