Strictly Come Dancing bosses want to make the show sexier for the next series. They have are reportedly in talks with US Dancing With the Stars pro Derek Hough about joining the show next year.
The 24-year-old was a former judge on BBC1’s DanceX with Strictly panelist Bruno Tonioli.
American-born Derek allegedly visited the studio to see Strictly being filmed.
The move is part of the broadcaster’s plans to give the show a revamp after losing out in the ratings battle to The X Factor.
Derek is a former world Latin American dance champion and won the seventh series of Dancing With The Stars with TV presenter Brook Burke.
A Strictly source told the News of the World: “They’ll pair him with a hot female celeb to make sparks fly.
“The veterans like Brendan Cole and James Jordan will feel very threatened.”
There are also reports that Arlene Phillips may return to the judging panel after she was axed earlier this year and replace with Alesha Dixon.

Typical, they change the rules when it suits them and ruin what was once a magnificent show, and now they want to Americanise it and, as they put it ,’Sex it up’. Barmy.
The American Show Dancing With Stars is terrible,do not copy it.

Please please please BBC do not try to make it any sexier than it already is. There is often a natural chemistry between the celebs and pros – you mess with it at your peril !
Why… why…why….???? We don’t need this American dancer to ’sex it uo’ we have already got Brian, James, Brendan, Darren etc. Arlene should be brought back… Yes okay bring is this new dancer for the fact that hes can DANCE well and bring something to the competition but not just to sex it up…
Dancing With The Stars is awful!!! Strictly is so much better and people love it just the way it is – don’t change it!
Strictly is just great how it is – don’t mess with it! Bring back Arleen, and have an upper age limit of about 50 for celeb contestants, but otherwise LEAVE IT ALONE. The American version is just awful, no class whatsoever, and definitely less sexy than ours, no way do we need any input from them!
And I think Bruce should stop trying to sing, dance and tell jokes!
The show has lost too much of its initial class already. They don’t need to go down that route.
