It’s here. The final. The Strictly Come Dancing final. Many brave men and women have fallen. Two men remain.
One will stand triumphant, the other, crushed.
Will it be Chris the entertainer or Ricky “technically the best dancer” who will raise that glitterball trophy?
The Final
Both couples will perform the Lindy Hop at the same time.
Both couples will perform two of their favourites dances from earlier in the series.
Chris and Ola will dance the foxtrot and the charleston.
Ricky and Natalie will dance the quickstep and the cha cha cha.
Both couples will perfom a showdance!

The outcome of what is now a personality contest, and not what it used to be about(DANCE), is inevitable.
The only way to make it fair is to vote ( I will give 5 votes) for the best dancer on the night. I love Chris and Ola and was happy they got thru but it would be a travesty if Ricky does not win if he dances better tonight!
the judges can say what they want, the dancers can do fancy lifts, but in the end chris you did the most important lift, you lifted the trophy.
So Lynda, after what you said in comment 2, you gave Ricky 5 votes. YES??
Exactly Neil Chris did the most important lift and Ken if it was really all about the dance why would the final decision be left to us…
I L Ali+Brian,
It should be about the dance. Its called STRICTLY come DANCING, and there was one dancer last night and a chap that ran around
ok yes but you cant say chris didn’t dance that charlston
I did not care who won.
When is Alesha being replaced?
Why did Raymond Blanc open a restaurant with someone who does not cook??????
I thought Chris and Ola were the best entertainment I have seen for a very long time on television. They were absolutely sensational and their Charleston made me roar with laughter, Donald O’Connor comes to mind in “Singing in the Rain”.
Ricky and Natalie were always destined to win but it was the little man with a big
heart that reached out to everyone and in the end changed his life completely, he will be looked upon in a totally different light. We have just witnessed an amazing event.
Let’s face it, if the Beeb had not cancelled the dance-off in the semifinal, Chris would have been dropped at that stage and the final would have been between the two best dancers.
It is no longer STRICTLY Come DANCING. Entertaining as Chris was, he was never the best dancer (Ali and Rickie were clearly better).
I’ll bet Len was livid!
If we wanted to watch a popularity contest we could have watched X-Factor (but we didn’t).
This fixed result means we won’t bother to watch next year.
i can’t believe that Chris and Ola won strictly come dancing. The Beeb fixed it for them to win by changing the rules in the semi final – why cancel the dance off? So the judges would not vote out Chris of course. He would have gone as he was the weakest dancer. The show is called strictly come dancing – the rules should not have been changed. I really feel for Ricki and Natalie, who performed better, received a higher vote from the judges, and should have won the title. They were superb. Chris should not have won, or even been in the final. The whole show is turning into a joke and i wont be watching again. Len said Ricki was the best male dancer ever; he is the winner in my eyes.
I agree completely with comment #10 ! And all through the competition there were injustices created by the public votes. Who knows how unanimous voters get too many votes. If at all judged by the public, it should be the direct audience in the studio, voting on one voting button per person. I also would have thought that there might be two trophies…one for the BEST dancer, and the other for Mr. Congeniality as in beauty contests!!
I am disappointed in the injustice of it all…especially for Ricky and Ali, and even Zoe voted off way too soon.
The best couple won, yes the show is called \"strictly come dancing\" and we can argue about the definition of that till the cows come home, but with all the tosh on TV nowadays, this show is great entertainment and I for one need entertaining so stop whinging and stop trying to justify why one couple won and the other lost at the end of the day the public voted for who they liked and at times RW did come across as arrogant. If we are being really picky do you really need to dance in a swimsuit, that was just awful.
To comment 13 I say, The best Dance couple did not win. People vote for who they like, whether it’s for personality or dancing, but CH fans have been saying he was the better dancer. I say,’You sure haven’t seen much good dancing in your time, you should have gone to Specsavers’.
The most ludicrous comment in this blog comes from comment number 9 when he says, “We have just witnessed an amazing event”. A clown of a dancer runs around the dance floor frantically waving his arms in the air, trying to imitate dance, and, according to a person who obviously hasn’t any idea what good dance is all about,we have just witnessed something amazing.
Graeme, you ought to get out more.
