Jade Johnson will be fit to perform in this Saturday evening’s Strictly Come Dancing show, saving her from being forced out of the show.
The Great Britain long jumper missed last weekend’s show after she said her knee ‘popped’ during a practice for the show, in which former cricketer Phil Tufnell was voted out.
If injury had prevented her from performing this week as well, Strictly rules state she would have been automatically axed from the competition.

Jade Johnson and her dance partner Ian Waite will perform in this week’s Strictly Come Dancing after the athlete was given the all-clear
Ms Johnson – who is partnering Ian Waite in the dance programme – also feared that if she carried on in the BBC show it might have affected her return to athletics training in January.
But, after tests, a physiotherapist has found no serious damage – and the athlete has been given the all-clear to prepare for the show.
‘She’d just tweaked something,’ her agent Ayo Falola said.
The 29-year-old had previously been left in tears by the problem, saying: ‘I’m panicking a bit. Am I going to be able to start back training for my long jump in January?’ she said.

‘I heard a loud sound and straight away felt pain,’ the European and Commonwealth silver medallist added. ‘I just feel I’m letting everyone down. I really want to dance.’
Although Jade has been given the all clear by her athletics’ physiotherapist, BBC bosses are being more cautious.
They are refusing to confirm that she will definitely participate on Saturday.
A spokesman said: ‘It’s not the case that she’s definitely dancing this weekend. We’re going to look at it again tomorrow. It’s on a day to day basis.’
This year’s Strictly series has been largely overshadowed by the X Factor.
However, for last Saturday’s show it secured a series ratings high of 10.9 million people – although that was still dwarfed by the X Factor’s Sunday night ratings which saw Simon Cowell’s ITV show peake at an astonishing 16.4 million viewers.
